I don’t know about you, but I love lemonade. I love just about anything that has some sort of tart flavor. I understand it’s not for everyone, but I am a fan.
This lemonade takes minutes to make. All you have to wait for is the cool-down. Then you get to enjoy it. I think it’s perfect for any sunny afternoon, hosting parties, brunches, you name it. I’ll just enjoy it anytime of day because I loooove it. The strawberries add sweetness to the tange, and I’m here for it. So are my children.

While preparing, do NOT discard your lemon rinds! These are imperative for getting that lemony flavor for your juice.
How to pick some good lemons:
When you’re choosing lemons, a few simple checks can help you find ones that are juicy and flavorful:
- Pick lemons that feel heavy for their size. A heavier lemon usually contains more juice.
- Choose bright, even color. Ripe lemons are typically vibrant yellow. A slight green tint is usually fine, but very green lemons may be less ripe.
- Give them a gentle squeeze. A good lemon should have a little give without feeling soft or mushy. Rock-hard lemons may be underripe, while soft spots can indicate bruising or spoilage.
Ingredients
Method
- Get your water to a boil in a pot.
- Add your lemon skins, sugar, and strawberries, and allow that to boil for 3-4 minutes while mixing. This will allow the sugar to dissolve.
- Turn off the heat and allow this to sit for another 3-4 minutes.
- Remove the fruit and lemon rinds from the pot. Add the squeezed lemon juice to the pot.
- Allow this to stand until cooled enough to pour into a pitcher. Then place that pitcher in your fridge to cool down further.
- Optional: Serve with some ice and some sliced strawberries. Enjoy!
