How to Make Flavorful Meatballs at Home: Tips Included

After eating these over a plate of pasta, my husband told me, “That was one of the best meals I’ve ever eaten in my life.” So maybe this will be one of the best meals of your life, too. It’s worth a shot. I very much enjoy cheese, pasta, and tomatoes. So Italian food is definitely one of my favorites. I think the more we enjoy a meal, the better a chance we have to make it taste better. Since we care more about the final outcome of that meal.

Tip
I did add raw onions and garlic to this recipe. It definitely elevates the meatball flavor. If you have young ones who are on the picky side, you can always use onion and garlic powder instead. The meal will still be delicious. If you want fullness of flavor, add those onions and don’t forget the garlic. Almost like a slight caramelized addition to the meat. I wouldn’t say you need to add more of the garlic and onion powder in the recipe if you aren’t adding them raw. Just follow the recipe and remove those two and enjoy the meal.

If you want to make your own tomato sauce, check out my recipe: Easy Steps to Make and Can Homemade Tomato Sauce. This recipe is by far the most delicious Tomato Sauce I’ve made to date. I canned over 50 cans! Hoping this will last us for the next year.

I get most of my meat from Good Ranchers. It comes in a box each month right to my doorstep. If you’re looking for American-raised beef, chicken, or pork, this is a great place to go. You can use my code: rc-refer.com/kristina-4jwurv and get $40 off your order! I’ve been ordering from them for about six months now, and I think their meat is delicious. That is where my ground beef is for this recipe.

Additional Tip

I will say that I do not purchase breadcrumbs. I take a couple of slices of sourdough bread and toast them. Then I put it into my food processor until it’s broken down. And then I add it to the meatballs. So, you can use breadcrumbs or use bread that you already have sitting around.
