Easy Homemade Pear Jam Recipe

This is a sweet and simple recipe. It doesn’t come with too many steps. And unlike other recipes for jam, it doesn’t take days to make. This jam is sweet, but not too sweet.

The taste of fall is pumpkins, apples, and pears. If your kitchen is stocked with pears, grab a few and let’s get to making some pear jam.

I always love to throw in a little twist into a recipe. Pears are underrated and need more attention for their delicious flavor.

I personally come from a line of family that has lived through the Soviet times. This means that I have tips and tricks for preserving food that many Americans don’t know these days. These are ways of preservation that have been done for hundreds of years. And didn’t take extra steps, sold to you by companies that want to make a buck out of you.

If you’re uncomfortable with that, you can always water bath these. But in this recipe, it’s as simple as filling the jar. Then, leaving about an inch of headspace. Then, flip each jar upside down onto a towel. Then covering it with that same towel to keep the warmth in. Allowing those to rest untouched for 12-24 hours at least. Once flipped, they seal almost every single time.

If you’re looking for another recipe to make, you should check out my recipe Irresistible Caramel Pear Puff Pastry Delights. They were soooooo good. Worth the work it took. Even though it didn’t take much work at all.
