When I was a child, crepes were a staple in our house. We had them for breakfast. They’d be covered in some kind of homemade jam or Nutella. Life was goooooood. Nowadays I make my own crepes for my littles’. And I get to enjoy watching them devour them as well. They get some tea, some crepes, and it’s special.

My mom got me these vintage crepe makers as a gift. And having 2 of them definitely is a must if you’re making more than 10. With two of these crepe makers it takes me about 30 minutes to make about 25-30 crepes. I kid you not, my mom has 4 of these. And she uses them all at the same time. She probably makes about 50 crepes in one sitting. But it goes quick because of how many she has.

Obviously, they aren’t easy to find anymore. But I did find some similar ones on Amazon with good reviews. Here’s the link if interested: https://amzn.to/4muJ3uE I am an Amazon affiliate, here is my disclosure: Disclosure Amazon
TIPS:
- Make sure you add your water into your bowl of ingredients before anything else.
- Make sure to rub butter in between each crepe. When stacking, this will prevent them from sticking to each other. (It’s also delicious)
I personally cut about a tablespoon of butter at a time, and I place it onto the end of a fork. I then use that fork to rub the butter onto each crepe once it’s finished. - Having a plate that is round, but wide and deep, is very helpful. It will help you have an easy time dipping the crepe maker into the dough without spilling.

Method
- Add your water to the bowl.
- Then add your flour, salt, and sugar and mix.
- Then add your vanilla, melted butter, milk, and eggs, mix again. (If using a mixer use the low/medium setting) Continue mixing until everything is blended well.
- Turn on your crepe maker. Then pour the dough mixture into your flat plate.
- Once the light comes on, dip your crepe maker to touch the surface of your dough mixture. Gently lift off, allowing any drops to fall back into that plate. Flip right side up.
- Once the light comes on again, flip the crepe to cook the other side.
- Once the light turns on once again, move the crepe onto a plate and rub butter on it. Then repeat!
Notes
- Use a fork to cut about a tbsp of butter at a time to rub onto each crepe once it’s finished. Makes it easy to control the butter and minimize the mess.
