Cuisine: French, Slavic

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 2 1/2 cups Flour
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp Vanilla
  • 4 tbsp Unsalted Butter Melted
  • 1/2 cup Milk Whole
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/4 cup Butter to coat each crepe

Equipment

  • 1-2 Crepe Makers
  • 1 Flat large plate with room at least 12 inch wide

Method

  1. Add your water to the bowl.
  2. Then add your flour, salt, and sugar and mix.
  3. Then add your vanilla, melted butter, milk, and eggs, mix again. (If using a mixer use the low/medium setting) Continue mixing until everything is blended well.
  4. Turn on your crepe maker. Then pour the dough mixture into your flat plate.
  5. Once the light comes on, dip your crepe maker to touch the surface of your dough mixture. Gently lift off, allowing any drops to fall back into that plate. Flip right side up.
  6. Once the light comes on again, flip the crepe to cook the other side.
  7. Once the light turns on once again, move the crepe onto a plate and rub butter on it. Then repeat!

Notes

  • Use a fork to cut about a tbsp of butter at a time to rub onto each crepe once it's finished. Makes it easy to control the butter and minimize the mess.
